Wow......it's nice and comfy in here. And I really like the vintage vibe. I hope to add a little bit to it over the coming months.
So I've been working on my "bucket list" set - the iconic 1951/52 Parkhurst offering. I've been at it for about five years and just today cracked the 20 card mark. Small potatoes if you're talking the 396 that I chased as a kid, but a good stab when you think this set sits at just 105 cards.
So I thought I'd share my three most recent adds and maybe this will get me motivated to do a "class picture" and get them all on this thread.

This was the big Parkie add from 2018. Really happy to have landed this one - especially considering the price I paid. Sure, it has a bit of a blotch in the bottom corner, but I think it's a fantastic add to the set.
I'm not looking for a top-end build of this collection. I have no doubt when we get to the big boys in the set I'll be thanking myself on that decision.

This was one that sat in the box for a while.....nothanging out with the other cards in the set. Why? It was a graded copy. I was torn. I bought it for a great price but didn't want the slab. It only graded a 2 so I felt I could free it without feeling bad at all. In fact, I felt great about it. It looks so much better freed up.

This was today's pickup. Another perfect selection for the project. Not creased or gummed up, the back is nice and clean and the entering is good enough for me. Aesthetically it's a beautiful card in my eyes and I'm really pleased to add it.
Hopefully this will be the first of a few to add to the collection this year. Boy what a beautiful set.
