Verified Trader,
Before the release, I didn't see myself buying any of this product. I had a feeling it was going to be the previous year's Ultimate all over again. Boy was I wrong when I started seeing the breaks. About a week ago I was really itching to get some ITGU. I'm currently working in San Diego and didn't have access to a store and wasn't going to be home to rip any myself. I decided to go to Breakers to see what I could find and luckily BlowoutTV had six boxes left of ITGU. Sign me up! After I bought them and was waiting my turn in line, they had said that the other six boxes from the same case were a bit weak. Bonus I thought. Sure enough these six boxes absolutely hit me between the eyes. Lots of low numbered stuff and absolutely stunning vintage. Unfortunately I recently moved and my office stuff isn't unpacked, so I have to resort to bad phone pictures. No way I was going to wait another couple of weeks to show these off. I had an emergency trip home today and sure enough the package was there. Enough blabbering, on with the Show:
I've seen a lot of McDavid in these breaks and my boxes were no different. From the top down we have /60, /60, /5, /5, /45, /5
Yeah, just a 1/1 of Tarasenko, a Messier/LaFleur /3, and a Hasek /20. More great cards.
Now we get to the REALLY good stuff...
Lumley/Plante/Sawchuk /12. The pieces are amazing. Only thing that has me confused is a Plante white piece like that. I've tried finding an image of him wearing that color equipment but can't. Hopefully someone can enlighten me.
Geoffrion/Beliveau /25. LOVE the stitching on the Geoffrion.
Sorry for the awful picture here, but you get the point...Two gorgeous patches from two legends. Numbered 1/3 to boot.
Howie Morenz 5/5, and King Clancy 4/5. Absolutely stunning cards. Words can't do these two justice. The gold foiling just pops around the vintage memorabilia and colors of the card.
Finally the BIG one...
Again, sorry for the lousy picture. Even though it was broken for me, I'm still counting this as the biggest pull of my life. When you hit a /4 card on the sell sheet, you're lucky! Another masterpiece card featuring a museum of HOF memorabilia.
I've purchased a few singles as well that I hope to get in the next week or so. If I could find more of this at a decent price, I'm going to be in for more! Thanks Leaf for a product well done!
