8 cases of The Cup...just the hits

UPS made me wait until almost 6 this evening for my cases, but it was well worth the wait. Even though there were some QC issues scattered throughout with collation, I have to say it was an absolute blast opening. I started off hot, definitely had a lull in the middle, and then closed strong. There were a couple of cases that had me wondering what I was thinking. Whatever I decide to move will be posted up on Ebay this weekend. As much as I'd love to respond to IMs or posts about card availability, between trying to get this listing going and getting ready for next weeks Breeders' Cup, there just simply isn't the time. So here it goes...

First the redemptions. They ain't much to look at right now, but hopefully once they are made they will be. In total I had 10 redemptions. I'd say these five are a good problem to have...

I'm at a loss as to what the material in the Toews is. It's not stitched, but rather some kind of sublimation. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Other things that popped into my head...I'll be happy if I NEVER get another Brilliance card again. Too big, too flimsy. I had a couple of cases that had one in each tin. I also got three of the video cards, Evolution (Yakupov, Huberdeau, and Galchenyuk). Two were in the same case. I watched the first of Huberdeau and didn't even bother opening the next two. Hopefully this is something that goes away. I'm sure UD spent a lot of money in R&D on this concept, but it falls flat with me.

Id say the Toews is from the winter classic and the 'Chrome' style jerseys. Think we saw a MA Fleury a little while back with a similar swatch. Awesome breaks man.

Great breaks! I like the Gretzky's although the sig on the scripted stick is hard to see. Congrats and thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah, the Scripted Sticks auto is hard to see in scans. In person it's easier. A silver colored pen would have worked better with a dark stick piece. Now the not as fun part starts, sleeving and toploading the rest of the break!

The Toews piece is either from the Stadium Series gamer or the Stadium Series practice jersey. I believe they wore 3 different jerseys in the game itself, and they also sold off the practice jerseys. I thought all 3 of the gamers ended up in private collections, but I could be wrong.

Here's the rest of the cases less the base. Guess the title isn't quite as applicable now! Again, I'm listing all of the cards I'm not keeping. While I appreciate offers, inquiries, etc. I simply do not have the time to respond and will just be listing everything I intend to sell on Ebay tomorrow night. Thanks for understanding.

holy smokes.. nice haul. I have to say that this years cup has me eyeing a few pieces to collect .. I love that gilmour scripted and there are so many in this thread that are nice.

So many good box / case breaks, I am beginning to wonder what is left to be unveiled LOL..
