That's weird. I actually received it as a message in my inbox direct from eBay and there was no code attached. It simply said "click to activate". I tried it and it definitely worked. I only run eBay on my desktop so maybe mobile app is not the same?

For me it shows up in the app and on desktop. Just click to activate. In the details it says by invite only.
