97-98 Black Diamond

The quads were reported to be have a print run of 50 copies each. No such info on the other, as far as I know. Double, triple and quad diamonds are all just parallels, no different tiers that year.

Parallels - Doubles were red - 1 in 4 or 6 packs, Triples were red and 1 in 12 packs, and Quads were black and out of 50 as mentioned earlier

From DACW's page:

Parallels:
Double Diamond 1:1
Triple Diamond 1:3
Quadruple Diamond - 50 sets made

I loved busting BD that year, and also the 1998-99 set.

Just in case some pictures may help:

What is interesting is that when I was buying packs of it way back in 1998, I purchased some that had the triples listed at 1:3, and some that had the triples listed at 1:5. It might have been a hobby/retail difference, but I can't remember exactly. All the other odds were the same.

(I also remember that the Premium Cut cards were really easy to pack-search -- but don't worry, I grew out of that soon thereafter  )

One of my favorite sets ever (both of them, but especially 97-98).
