Truly a beautiful day here in southwestern Ont. It's sunny and about 78 degrees. My wife worked midnights and was in bed by 9.30 am. and the rest of the morning was mine to do as I pleased. Knowing that Stadium Sports was having a trade day it was a no-brainer as what to do.

By 10.30 I was on the 401 and its always a pleasure to drive alone, a clear highway with the tunes up loud, a fresh Timmys in the cup holder and a pack of smokes that my wife can't give me s##t for ( Yes I am a closet smoker ) By 11.30 I was in Blenheim.

After a little chit-chat my eyes began to scan the available wax on the shelves.SPA was at a great price and I thought about it, I also saw a few tins of The Cup up on the shelf and considering the good run I've been having I was sorely tempted. I told Scott that if I buy the SPA I won't touch the Cup, I left myself an out by also saying that if I buy the Cup I won't buy any SPA. Scott threw in the clincher when (being the great salesman that he is ) he said that he will probably have the SPA at that price again. Knowing that The Cup tins are more than likely to go up in price my decision was made. I took the top tin. And there was filler in the the Tin. Here is what I got

First the 2 base. Kesler is the gold version and is 17/25 JERSEY NUMBER !!!!

Next up is a 1 color Faulk ARP 211/249 and a Pekka Rinne base jersey 25/25

Nothing spectacular yet, but the next card is magnificent and I'm not KIDDING

It is a 2010/11 piece inserted in to this years product. The Crosby patch is white " BUT I DON'T Care !!! " Its a beauty and PC at this time

Scott had posted this on his Sat. show and tell but he left out one card, the filler. I have modified to make it a truly unique and quite valuable card. First with a little bit of tape here is the back of the card

Next we made the tin filler into a authentic " store used " card, autographed and authenticated by the store owner himself, A legendary signature 1/1 auto of Scott McCharles of Stadium Sports Cards. A great guy who makes our hobby even more enjoyable.

Thanks Scott for all you do

I could look at Lemieux's autograph all day long, and it looks even better with Sid's right above it. Beauty of a card

Sweet pull Wayne!! The Crosby/Lemieux wasnt bad either. :) I missed your call by 5 mins. As much as I wanted to go out it's probably best I didn't as I've had a screamer of a migraine all day.

Somehow I knew some fun would be poked my way!!!!

Mac, you're a cheapskate!

And congrats to Wayne on the real prize. That Mario Sid is quite the card!

Thanks for coming out to The Stadium! It's great friends and customers like yourself that make our store the great store it is.
