So before September 26th I had purchased 2 cards in all of 2019. I'm still on HI daily, I still check FB groups and breaks, but it feels like I was finally cured from the "cards bug".
Then someone posted a couple cards I liked on eBay. Then Superlative was released. Then someone else posted a card I had been chasing since release of ITG History of Hockey (for a future post).
So I'm now at 6 cards purchased in 2019 so far. I do the rare break, but my case breaking/manic purchasing days are definitely far behind me.
That being said, I guess my posts are now about quality instead of quantity? I'll let you be the judge of that!
First a couple additions to the Joliat PC :
I already had a copy of both those cards. But I'm the sucker for the vintage memorabilia licenced ITG cards. It's such a shame that the NHLPA moved away from that... Anyway, the leather piece on the solo Joliat is gorgeous, and I cannot pass a multicolor Joliat swatch.
I purchased those two cards a bit more than a month ago, and I was waiting for something bigger to make a post. Well, Leaf released Superlative, and although I usually stay away from cards featuring Cyclone Taylor (let's just say his followers have pockets wayyyy deeper than mine), I caved in for that card. The Joliat piece is once again really nice, and I always try to add Vezina pieces to the collection. So here it is, definitely in the top 10 of my collection :
