A "Fake" Patch Again??

Not sure if most of you remember but I came into an offer for a Questionable (aka FAKE) Bergeron SPA FW Patch a few months ago and here's the pic of that card..:

And now the same seller has this card up, ebay item#5160283031 :

Hmm smells like Poo-Poo to me, what are the odds, that he has 2 of the same patches, that were questionable in the 1st place, just a heads up for any potential bidders here...

Already have, I just find it disgusting that some joe will pay a lot of money for this card and not know it's a FAKE! The seller is some piece of work!

On a somewhat similar topic, I wonder if Beckett would grade a faked jersey or patch card. You see them all the time in football with the NFL logo patches. The card's authentic, but the patch piece has been physically changed. But how could Beckett tell the difference?

More to the point, would/does Beckett care?

can't be off that, if it was both eyes one would either be missing a part of it or have part of the nose on it, can't find the side arm patch but in an earlier post here (about the other 1) the first patch was missing peices that are on the real thing

Let me get the gas can out here.

If you look at NHL.com you can get the Pooh jersey for something like $69.95 so you get two nice patches maybe more. That would more than pay for the jersey you ruined to make you patches. I am sure someone else saw that sell they had.

That's the problem. It LOOKS real, but it isn't. We went over this when the first one came up... there are absolutely no other patches that have come from the BIG bear on the front of the uniform - but this guy got 2 of them, with the EYE no less? Give me a break...

I was looking through this guys feedback at his neutrals, I have a feeling he is selling reprinted Yu-Gi-Oh cards as well. He is selling the 3 set Egyptian God cards , and has sold a number of them. These cards are tought to come by from what I understand. One person left him a feedback that after 1 hour of handling one of the cards is peeling. Sounds like he might be making copies.

Definately seems to be a fishy seller.

Also has a previous negative for counterfeit item

Maybe you should talk to Clint. I think Beckett has the ability to search completed ebay auctions up to 6 months or a year. Try to see if those serial numbered cards sold with different swatches.

I don't think Beckett cares, remember that 1st one that I was offered? I emailed Beckett about it telling them I think it is fake(with reasons) and if they could contact UD, their response was basically, "what makes you think it's fake, UD won't be able to help you". After that response, forget it, I would probably get a better response from Carlin with a email myself. Beckett doesn't have time to investigate such matters as it doesn't pertain to them, they just "price" the cards..

Trust me, it ain't real.. Looks good but smells fishy.... Those Eye patches are off the wrong jersey(fake) I have yet to see another eye patch like this one, I have only seen 2 and they are both from the same seller.. What are the odds no else has seen these patches either?

That's odd. When I accused UD of using a jersey for Pitkanen that he never wore in his SPA Auto Patch set, they said they got assurance from UD that he wore a jersey that no Flyer has worn for two years and stopped wearing before Pitkanen was drafted. Although they don't have a photograph of it. Kinda screws up the whole point of a "photo-shoot" jersey.

If they can say so 'clearly' that he wore the old orange jersey, I don't know why they couldn't say Bergeron wore an alternate. Although absolutely none of his SPx or other jersey cards have ever had the same multi-color design of the third jersey (zig zag lines).

If you write them, don't call it a fake. Just ask plain and simple if Bergeron wore an alternate jersey during the photo-shoot and if they have a picture of it. The only cards even picturing Bergeron in a third jersey are from actual games, and not shoots. The pictures from his shoot have him in the away and home jerseys.
