So I went to my local store (well local enough) with about 300 to buy some boxes. I wasn't in the mood for SPGU, so I started with a box of 07-08 Ice (still on sale for 80 bucks)
Rookies...boring (nobody good, but getting 2 /999 isn't too bad...even if they were nobodies)
GU - Fresh Threads - Milan Lucic (not bad...could definitely be worse)
Auto - Glacial Graphs - Marc-Andre Fleury (2nd in a row of this one I've gotten...I'm cursed...with a cup-winning goalie

Oh, and a Frozen Fabrics Jersey (red) / Patch (white) of Miikka Kiprusoff /25. Boring patch but not too bad.
So then I figured that I should get the newest product I possibly could...09-10 OPC Update
I opened the box and saw 2 sleeves and thought...huh?
I thought it was supposed to be 5 parallels or 1 jersey and 2 parallels.
Well I got 2 jerseys!!!!!
First one, Ryan Smyth, Alec Martinez & Alexander Frolov.
Meh...could be worse.
Second one, John Tavares, Matt Duchene & JVR!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT?!?! How the heck did I get this lucky? Can't believe it!!!
Man, that was awesome to pull.
After that, I bought a box of 07-08 Hot Prospects.
Got 2 jerseys (Boyes and Cole)
ZERO rookies (well, the 999 versions)
A few Hot Commodities (including Lidstrom /100)
A Kris Russell Prized Prospects Patch/Auto /399 (nice 3 color patch with seams)
And a redemption (I know they expired in february, so I'm already bummed)...Frans Nielsen patch/auto /25 (would've been sweet but oh well)
Then I bought a single pack of 08-09 BAP with my last 20 and got a Bouwmeester auto.
So all in all, I think I did ok with the Kipper patch, the Russell patch/auto and the JT/Duchene/JVR.
All cards are for sale/trade and I will be putting up some pictures of the cards later tonight!
