I'm turning to the HI community again to answer another question I have...

I managed to find a used copy of Lorne Worsley's autobiography "They Call Me Gump" (printed in 1975) and there is an auto on the first blank page in the book. My question is... do you think it is possibly real or was this book printed with the auto inside (like I've seen in other books).

Does anyone know?

Cheers,

I'm no expert but don't most books have 1 or 2 blank pages at the very front? It looks like his sig for sure & being on the very first page of the book I'd say it likely is legit. Does it look as if it has bled through to the back side of the page in any spots? If its just printed there it shouldn't show through on the other side very much but anywhere the ink is thick theres a chance it will bleed.

First of all, thanks for your responses and thoughts... they are appreciated.

The auto does bleed through a tiny bit. I thought the auto looked authentic but then I remembered seeing autos in other books that were printed as part of the packaging (like in Cherry's book). I started to second guess myself.

Does anybody else out there have a copy of his autobiography? If so, could you let me know if your version is autographed or not?

Cheers,
Jeff
