I was looking at my 97-98 BAP autos and I had a question. Now the easy way to tell the autograph version from the regular version is that the auto has gold foil instead of silver where the players name is. So I can tell the difference between a hand signed card over a legit one. Of course these were before (actually after wtf Pinnacle) putting a COA on the back of the card for the auto parallels...
All the autos (I have 30+ of them) all look to use the same kind of marker... A fine point sharpie. All are in black. Except for a couple I have. Paul Kruse and Jamie Huscroft seem to have been signed with the large point markers instead, so their autos are MUCH thicker (especially the Huscroft). And it looks like they signed them ala hand-signed cards, not in the space below the name like (almost) everyone else. When I look at them, it looks like they are hand-signed but the color shows they are not. I actually do have a hand-signed regular card so I can compare the difference.
Anyways, has anyone noticed this before? I'll post pics when I can.
