A few nights ago I was bidding on an 00-01 SPGU Gretzky auto/jersey bronze /300. I put my bid up to $200 (card books for $300) Well, the winning bidder fell through immediately, and I was offered the card within mere minutes after the auctions end...I looked at the winning bidders feedback, and at the time it was low (2) but 100% and both items the person had previously bought were of the high end variety. I just rechecked their feedback (1 with a few negatives from different users) and it looks like they're well on their way to getting NARU'd. So now I'm left with a choice to pick up this pretty sweet Gretzky, but at $200 it ain't cheap.

What do you think I should do?

Thanks for the input!

If I recall correctly, the seller is a board member.
It's definitely a nice card, with an affordable price for an auto jersey.

Personally, if you like the card as tradebait, I would value it more to the tune of $400.

Just me though.

Not sure who it was because there wasn't any info included on the auction. If you are willing to pay that go for it, if not pass.

Yeah, it does seem to be a board members auction. Anyhow, if you read the auction it say's paypal only auction.. either she informed him that she didn't have paypal, or 2 he looked at all of those negatives- sent her an email and said sorry about your luck and gave it to you instead. Either way, it doesn't seem to be a shill bid because she hasn't bid on any other auctions of his. Or maybe he was happy with the sale value, has a duplicate and is extending it your way. That's just my 2 cents.

How badly do you want it at this time? Honestly, I think you'd be able to snag it for maybe $20-30 cheaper at a future date...if that's important. I'd probably just snag it and call 'er a day.
