Some great points here. Some deplorable ones too.
First: The only man responsible for Bertuzzi's actions on the ice is Todd Bertuzzi. Period. No "I was following orders" applies here, because as a (supposedly) thinking, moral human being he should be able to make his own decision about whether or not to follow those orders.
Second: Blaming the victim here is ridiculous. Did he get away with a cheap hit on Naslund? Yes. Is he the first or last to do so? No. He was even IN a fight that night which he won. The Canucks had their chance to make him "pay" fair and square, and they botched it.
Third: What amazes me is the number of people willing to excuse Bert's actions. It's not ok for Moore to cheapshot Naz, but it is for Bert to cheapshot Moore? As was said above: give your head a shake. If you hear a rattle...well, if I need to explain what the rattle is, I don't care to explain it to you.
