So I go my LCS this afternoon, excited to pick up some S1. But before I check their website to see the box price. I wanted to confirm how much it was before I walk in (to avoid any embarrassing sticker shock faces). The website says $149.99, great!

I park, go in, and see it's $159.99 now?!?! Huh?!

I ask the sales lady to confirm. She's confirms that the price on the shelf is correct. I pull out my mobile, refresh the page I'm on, and yep, it's $149.99 on the website still so I show her. She turns back to her monitor, clicking and tapping on her keyboard for an insane amount of time for any 20-something to spend on getting to a single webpage until she turns the monitor toward me and says "there, now it says $159.99".

I grab my phone, refresh, and yep, this lady literally adjusted the website right in front of me to charge me more.

Would've gladly paid $159.99 had that been the price I saw on the website but this maneuver soured me quite a bit; so I guess I'll be waiting for S1 on e-pack out of principle now. :foottap:

That's terrible behaviour anywhere not just in cards. I get it, prices fluctuate on opening day, businesses do business things, etc. But that's just purely unnecessary to do in front of you. Sorry that happened to you man.

Hard to see these boxes being worth $160 when Seider and Raymond are nowhere to be found. Strange choice by UD not to even include them as Canvas options.

Seems like a lot of headache over 10 bucks. If I was the shop I would have honored the price, as a buyer I would have bought at 159 same as I would at 149.

I try not to burn too much oil over stuff like this but ymmv.

Picked up a box this morning for $140, called back tonight and now $155.00 which is funny cause they came in with like 15 case's
I am sure it will hit $200 a box by weekend

This is why I do ePack. No change in price and from the comfort of my home,

It seems many saw this as a complaint about the $159.99 price tag, that's not why I made this post. I just want to reemphasis that this was more about their greedy tactic to adjust their online price right in front of me and to not honor that lower online price.

Yeah that’s bush league. I would stop shopping there if I were you. Care to share what LCS this was?

Absolutely. That is disgraceful customer service. You should have paid $149, THEN she should have corrected the price online. I would not return out of principle, but that's me (unless I was desperate).

I'm on the fence about S1 this year -- been opening too many "light" boxes lately. Unless you pull one of the top two or three YG's in the set, it's been hard to justify the expense. Probably due to the Laffy Effect from last year.

Very interested to see what others are pulling, since I want to be convinced that there's more to a S1 box than Caufield or Zegras.
