Another eBay crook

I was searching eBay and came across this auction:

Something looked familiar, so I checked something and came across this:

It's obviously a copied scan and a bogus auction. I hope someone points this out on the other site since I don't post there and the seller has a lot of high-end stuff on eBay right now and I don't want to see anyone get burned. Mike

Mike, maybe they just "borrowed" the scan? I see people do that all the time because they don't have a scanner or something? It's not like he's touting the 3 color jersey card there in the imafe. It is just an auto, very possible he has one. His feedback looks fairly solid overall?

I think it's ok, maybe it's just me.....

Even if he does have a card, stealing an image is still against eBay policy and if he gets caught he will get all of his auctions canceled and he might get suspended or baned from eBay. Barrie, would you want someone stealing your images? I bet Robyn wouldn't be happy about it either. Mike

Hey Mike, actually Mark (blueeyedboy7) is awesome to deal with and I would find it hard to believe he is scamming. North of 7 is also legit from my dealings, I think its just a case of stealing the picture because he didnt have one handy, either that or he has turned into a crook very recently. If blueeyedboy7 was a crook he could have stolen over $7000 of my money from itgu6 boxes I purchased from him

legit or not, he shouldn't be soaking up someone elses bandwidth so his auction can have a photo. If that was being linked from my webspace I'd replace it with tubgirl post haste

Actually, in my experience, eBay won't do anything about image theft. I had it happen to me once, with a serial numbered card. My auction had ended, and the another seller stole my image from my auction. I complained to eBay and they told me matter-of-factly that I was SOL. They did nothing to the other seller, and let him continue to use my pic. I was peeved to say the least....

He could have at least cut the Messier out in photoshop, takes 2 seconds. Maybe not a crook but bad business in my opinion. Bottom line as Mikey states, it aint right!

Mike, I agree with you, it is not right, I wouldn't be happy and Robyn Aronson is one of EBay's finest.

That said, I guess I should have clarified my statement of "I think it's ok".

What I meant was I thought the auction was legitimate, that this guy actually had the card, and it's ok to bid.

But yes, the piracy of images is so not cool!
