Seems like forever since I've posted around these parts. Funny how life changes over time, eh?

I've realized that my extended collecting really gives me bugger-all joy anymore, so I'm going to be bailing on a bunch of stuff in the next few months. My real happiness in this hobby was completing sets, meeting awesome hobbyists and collecting my favourite players - Richard Brodeur & Harold Snepsts. After I met and interviewed some other awesome greats, I started collecting Paul Henderson & Rogie Vachon. I then added a small collection for Daniel Berthiaume (he was a goalie in PEI when the Senators were there). The Brodeur and Snepsts collections will remain, and because I'm very close on a complete Henderson collection, it would be painful to break it up. But Vachon and Berthiaume need to go.

So, if you have any Vachon needs (some multi-player cards with him on it), I likely have it! I doubt anyone will want my Berthiaume stuff, so I'll just eBay it. Anyways, onwards & upwards!

My new collecting habits, outside my 3 hockey guys... silver coins and SCOTCH! ;)

My pub's still open if any of you nutbars venture onto Vancouver Island. So far it's only kmitchel who's made the trek over... twice. The rest of you slackers need to pick up your game! :foottap:

Have fun with the new ventures and collection. I also traded away cardboard for precious metals, and honestly, it's just as fun and certainly a better long term investment. I would love to collect scotch, but yeah, that would be a problem for me (and the wife).....

Congrats on cutting most of your card collecting habits and doing what makes you happy. Some people seem to stick around even though they don't get much or any joy from the hobby. Good luck in your Scotch collection. That's one collection I would just end up pissing away.

Thanks for all that you did with this site.

Hi Bruce,
It's good to see you still lurking once in a while. Plmk if you ever plan to eBay your Level 2 Inkredible autos or have some reasonable Cdn dollar prices in mind. I know you had quite a few of these and I am still slowly picking away at the set and I have most of the big names already. If I ever make it out that way, I will surely check out the pub. All the best in your new endeavors.

Good lunch with the new collections Bruce and the next time I'm on the Island I'll have check out the pub. If I can drive northern Alberta to the Island, I can certainly drive from Qualicum to Maple Bay lol.

If I wasn't on the complete opposite end of the country I would love to check out your pub Bruce. Open an east coast location!

Good luck with your new collecting goals

Best of luck with the new direction, if I'm ever over on the Island I'll do my best to swing by.

Now what sort of Scotch would you need in trade to loosen your grip on the Superlative v3 Canucks Quad 1/1? :)

I think it's Uncle Brucey's Family Feedbag and Haggis Emporium :P

Hahaha, coffee just came spraying out of my mouth....:laugh::laugh:

Bruce, do you have a Vachon Signature Patch from 2006-07? If so I may be interested.

Bruce,

It's been a while. I hope all is well with you and that you have a great 2016.

Haven't made it out to Vancouver in a number of years but a visit to your pub is on the "to do" list. Can't wait to see it.

All the best with what the future will bring and I hope you continue to find the time to enjoy the hobbies in your life.

Cheers!
Brett

A bottle of each of The Arran's Devil's Punch Bowl I, II & III ;)

Been a long time, Bruce. Glad all is well.

I also ended up breaking the Kharlamov collection a while back, but the greatest Nucker ever (Ivan Hlinka) collection still remains complete. :D

Wishing you all the best in health and success moving forward Bruce. It isn't the same around here without you amigo. Will have to make the trek back to the island and check out your new digs. All the very best buddy! Cheers! -Mike

PS- My poison of choice.
