Another Staal out of the stall

No biggy, but I think most of you have been down this road before. As I slowly dismantle the Staal collection (parallels only) it's always sad to see one of the tougher ones go. Barring the sale falling through, the SPx Spectrum is next out. If memory serves correctly (and I know it does in this case) I landed this card for $54....
Still a little sad to see it go, but sometimes the chase is better than the catch and who could complain about the ROI

Rod, if it's any consolation, I seem to remember putting a real high bid on it, something like $120-150. It was one of the last two I needed


Oh, and about the ROI, this card is indicative of all of the high end Staals I have sold, with exception to the ITG Gold /20. I think I paid about $40 and sold it for $240

A valid question Clooch but one that's real easy for me to answer.

I see Staal going the way of Joe Sakic (maybe not the same class but pretty close). The number of his cards would be unbelievable. When I look at someone else that collects a player (ie Quincy to Sakic) and how much perseverence and money it takes, I know that I don't have it.
By selling of the rc parallels, I can rejeuvenate my hobby budget and allow me to further enjoy the hobby. Rest assured that I have yet to part with one bonifide Staal rookie card (that I don't have multiples of )

Oh and J, by "scary-close" I was referring to the date. I know the price is right
