Just wondering if any of our great member's here on hi play acoustic guitar?Just was looking for song suggestions. for a beginner; and maybe a cool acoustic site?

Oh yes and what brand acoustic do u play?

My main guitar is a Yamaha 700 series, cutaway acoustic/electric. Have several other's as well. I think pound for pound, Yamaha make's great guitars in all price range's, you couldn't go too far wrong with one of their products.
And no, I don't get a kick back for plugging their stuff, lol.

Dan.

I play too, I love country and favorite plays around the campfire with a bunch of nice people and of course I have a country group, whose frontman I am something about 10 years.
My guitar is Nashville NW-20CEQ, has a wonderful sound.

I am the resident shreder hahaha. I have played guitar my whole life and am looking at a $4000 breed love. I actually love playing old Metallica on the old acoustic. Its great for the fingers!

I'm a little late here but figured I'd add my 2% of a buck

I've been a metal player for about 17 yrs now and finally started playing acoustic (Pink Floyd, Matt Mays, Neil Young etc) over the past few years. I had a 12 string yamaha for a while but sold it, now I'm trying to decide between a martin d16-rgt and larrivee d40, love the rosewood and a buddy has a d40, but the white binding really looks nice on the martin :)

i started playing acoustic guitar first before moving onto the les paul.

i had a chavel (RIP) and am now playing a washburn.

song suggestions? hmm, depends on whether or not your guitar has a cutaway to reach the higher frets. if it doesn't it kind of limits your range.

some easy tunes i learned to play on an acoustic (that i can remember) when i first started were:
smashing pumpkins - disarm (four chords really)
nirvana - come as you are, polly, about a girl

Fritz the Martin d16rgt is a beast of a guitar worth every penny. I had one but sold to a guy in Dartmouth to fund my first ever expo trip

A good beginner guitar is an Austin runs around $100 and sounds great. Easy beginner songs anything with 3 to 4 chords...my 1st songs I ever learned were Bush - Glycerine and Machinehead ... You should check out "Axis of Awesome - 4 Chord Song" on YouTube and then you can play all of those songs with just 4 simple chords

I wound up getting a smoking deal on a Taylor 310 in Moncton, but the day I set up a meeting to go check it out, a Martin D16RGT was posted on kijiji in Dartrmouth, wonder if it was yours changing hands again? :)

*edit* actually it came from Saint John, the guy met me in Moncton
