Just trying to get an idea of this guy. I won a high end item from him. I sent him a money order on July 5th, with tracking. According to the Canadapost website, it arrived on the 6th (I didn't get signature confirmation). I get sent a payment reminder today saying he hasn't received payment.

Either he's a bit disorganized, or Canada Post delivered to the wrong address.

Anyone have bad experiences with this guy? I know he's not great at responding to emails.

He seems to pay in person at the show. He seemed nice, maybe because I look like someone who eats people as sustenance? :D

Wow - disheartening tales for sure. It sounds like he will send the cards, but doesn't really work to keep track of when payments are received.
I paid using a MO (he doesn't accept Paypal anymore!), so I don't have Paypal to fall back on. I do have the tracking number, as well as the receipt from the MO in case he cries foul against me.

Add me to the list of people he has screwed over. Ebay will never ban him because of the amount of business he does.

Ebay may not ban him, but we can always block him from bidding on our auctions.

I never had a bad experience with him. He always paid quick with me, but since he screwed Jay over, he'll never bid on another one of my auctions, nor will I ever buy from him again.

I've dealt with "Broydeur" about 5 times but only as a seller... Every time it took a while for him to get back to me but we did come to an agreement on terms and he did pay for the cards and everything went smoothly. I've never bought from him.

My Uncle bought a Spezza Premier Rookie Card from him about a year ago and had all kind of problems with him. It took him about a month to ship the card to him and then when he did get it the card was damaged and he had to send it back to him for his money back.... He did end up getting his money back from him about 2 or 3 months after the original payment had been made.... pretty brutal.

Anyways, on a side note, the user "goalie-great-time" is definitely him as well... the name on that account is the same last name and from Quebec as well... seems like he is trying to start fresh because of all the flack on the other id... just to let people know...

Maybe get your bank or PO to see if the MO was cashed...if it was, you can get a copy of the signed MO and e-mail it to him. I've seen dealers' eyes light up when this guy came around at the last Expo...

Another interesting little nugget: The paypal from goalie-great-time came from the same email as mavericksports but the shipping info was changed to Nicolas Angers and is unconfirmed.

Darren, yeah, I'll confirm that... I just got a payment from mavericksports and then another one a couple days later from goalie-great-time and they are the same account but different address... very fishy...

I bought a bunch of 03/04 premier rookie patch auto cards from him and he took his sweet time....eventually I did get my cards after somehow getting his phone number and calling a bunch of times....i don't think I have his number handy anymore but did it ever take a long long time .....he gave me some excuse that he was moving but it took a very very long time

I remember seeing a couple posts about people saying he takes a while to ship, I submitted an offer for his jagr/messier /10 spx spectrum and after reading this post i dont feel safe if he accepts the offer. is there a way to retract a best offer? I searched ebay and came up with nothing.

anyone?

As a follow up to my last pot in the thread Jay linked...

I ended up getting my money back from him, in full including shipping, after 3 months of thr triple SOTT not showing up. That said, he initially only refunded the BIN amount and I had to bug him further to get the shipping back. I had to spam him with messages in eBay just to get a response every single time I sent him a message. I think i was sending the same message 5-6 times each. I'll never deal with him again.

I have sold to him many times, both in person and online. In person he's a good guy, tough negotiator but ultimately quite fair.

The best description I have for his online commerce is "careless". I don't think he's out to deliberately scam anyone. He's just doesn't do things in a prompt, organized manner and that tends to leave buyers and sellers alike frustrated. I do not know of anyone who can legitimately say that broydeur ripped them off.

Have to disagree with you Steve, he's ripped of many guys including me. When you buy a card, never get it and are offered no compensation, you are ripped off. I can see the post office losing some mail, but this guy has to have the worst postman in the history of the mail system with the amount of mail he claims is lost.

I agree with John. This seller has taken to many "interest free loans" from paying customers. Very poor selling ethics and absolutely zero customer appreciation. Now he doesn't even accept Paypal on his auctions... gee, I wonder why. I guess he can now hold everyone's money orders until he gets around to sending out a package without the threat of a chargeback.
