Hi all,

Anyone drop off cards at the Toronto Expo for COMC before? How does it work? Do you have to fill in a submission form of every card you are submitting? This saves the cost of shipping right? What is the usual turn around for processing drop offs?

Super easy, print the submission form, count the number of cards you are submitting and go and drop it off at their booth, depending on the submission level you choose, determines how quickly items start populating in your account, I typically find it takes 6-8 weeks

Thanks! Do you penny sleeve each card also? Or just place them in a 400 count box? Did you add protection?

You can take your cards with you and even do the submission form right there at the booth with them helping you out. Super easy. Nite that if you leave anything in more than a penny sleeve that is in the basic tier of processing, they’ll charge you extra to remove the top loader.

And yes, the big deal in the past has been that they ship it back to their processing centre at their cost. So you just have to pay for the processing.

Yeah - you’ll get notified as they process them and you then set the price and mark them for sale. I like the system - I’d suggest though check how many of the card are already on there if you’re sending something somewhat common.

Yeah, it's super easy. I've always filled out the online form / printed the QR code (and stuck it to the box) before going to the Expo, but you can do it there.

Basically, you submit it online (i.e. I will be sending in 500 cards). Pick your level of service (I've only ever done basic). Looking at the site now (it's been a couple of years since I've done a submission) basic is a 16 week turn around, and 50 cents per card.

Once they've been loaded into your account, you price them however you want. I believe there's an upcharge if you list something for $100 or more.

I submitted several cards at the 2024 Fall Expo.

I did it right there at the booth, literally logged into my account and followed the steps. I had a Connor Bedard Patch card I entered in at $500 USD when submitting my cards. That $500 price was just an estimate, when the card is actually uploaded to your account you have to set your own price, whether you keep it at $500 or put it to the $1,000 that I did in this instance.

On the following Tuesday my Connor Bedard card was already uploaded to my account. The other 4 or 5 cards were a few days later. I cannot remember now, I think the Bedard I got rushed through with 'Elite Service' or something which is why I logged into my account at the booth and followed their steps. So I think that was free and the other 4-5 cards I didn't care when they were uploaded but I know everything was there before the week-end, so literally within 5 days. Also I logged into my account and picked a Submission Form, this one was special named Toronto Expo 2024 because it is a certain submitting process that COMC has set up. This must also be how I was able to get the Bedard card processed within 2 days.
