I guess this mainly applies to the older collectors. Anyone else remember how hot this card was when it first came out? Some people thought that he should be picked before Lindros as the #1 pick. I can remember this card selling between $10-15 back then. My buddy was going crazy buying up this card and the Score Lindros "Future star". He must have bought 30-40 of each, we still laugh about it.

Seems like similar trends are still happening with young unproven rookies in todays markey.

Yup, I remember it well. A break of UD Hi-series that yielded this and the "Canada's Captains" card was a fine break indeed :D.

actually bought a box a month ago, ordered online, gave it to godchild for birthday gift, as when my buddy and his family come over, he always stares at mine. Since he was only 3 i didn;t want to get anything valuable, so picked up off the bay for 13 shipped. it made his day

Ah yes, Fat Balloon. How can anyone forget?

Those were the glory days.....when men were men, sheep were nervous and a print run of 25,000 was considered 'rare'.

I do still have it..

Daigle made me quit prospecting in all sports especially Hockey and baseball!!

i remember finding the daigle auto out of pinnacle 10 years later when going through my common box. the auto was on the back of the card and i never knew. go figure, wish i found it back when he was a rookie.

I actually have two in my double box in English (sorry no French). Pat was a Penguin for part of one year and they never even discussed a new contract. I think he went on to Switzerland and then quietly retired.

The Lindros Future Superstar and Score Promo Lindros were the hottest things for a while. Falloon had a big Classic card, but I don't remember the Falloon UD card being that huge.
