Anyone ever buy photos from Getty??

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone here has ever bought any photos from Getty images? I found a few I want, but not with the watermarking in them (hence the buying part). I browsed around the site, but it looks as though you might have to be a company or corporation to sign up. Also, do you have any idea what a picture might cost? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Brian, not exactly sure, but who was the photographer? The friend of mine that I worked with is Dave Sandford and I met a bunch of other Getty Photographers at the Stanley Cup... I can probably find out for you...

The photographers name is Debora Robinson. It appears that she may work for the NHL, as the watermark is the NHL logo and not the typical Getty mark. I also think she may just follow Anaheim around, as almost all her photos in I saw involved them (on and off the ice). All I want the pictures for is to photomatch a jersey I bought. I'm 99% sure I found a few...but that darn watermark is in the way :| Thanks for the help!!

try to arrange something with the photographer if possible - Getty Images will cost an arm and leg.

Hey Brian,

I emailed them direct about purchasing a couple pics that captured myself and a buddy at a Wings/Yotes game last Winter, and yeah, it was pretty pricey...I'll dig up the email when I get home in the morning and let you know the specifics.

You might also want to holler at Chris-Vegas as I think he has nabbed a few Ghetty's for his photo matches.
