Alright, so our whole family is leaving next Friday to go to Florida.. Monday we watch Pittsburgh vs Tampa and then Wednesday we're catching Washington vs Tampa..

I was wondering if anyone knows where we could go to try and get a few autographs, or meet a few players.
If anyone has had any success with this let me know here..
Tyler

Man, I feel bad for you having to come watch our team down here :) Hopefully Troy and co. see this as I think they may have done some auto-hunting around the Forum before. I have not, but do know that the players' parking lot is on the grounds of the arena and that a number of folks do wait around for them to leave to grab autographs. Most of the visiting teams stay at one of the hotels within walking distance, there is an Embassy Suites and a Marriott they stay at depending on the teams.

Probably not much help and I'm sure others will have more auto info but youre actually coming for a few good games to see/meet players. The last few games of the season they usually roll out a "red" carpet about 3 hours before the game for players to walk up and sign a few autographs and shake hands. There's also usually alot of kid-type stuff going on outside the rink prior to puck drop if you'll have kids with you.

I'm a season ticketholder and theyre supposed to send me more info about the pregame stuff. Check the team website though too as they may have some info there that'll be helpful for those events :)

Haha, well at least there's quality teams playing.. Washington and Pittsburgh, so it should be sweet..
Thanks for the help.. I'll scout around looking for maps and such, I'd really like to meet Ryan Malone just as much as I'd like to meet Crosby, some of them would be looking up to me (I'm about 6ft4)..
I'll keep an eye out for the signings and stuff, it's not April yet so they'll probably update their site with April's events.. For the kids stuff, I'm 15 and my brother is 14 so some activities might appeal to us? :p
 for the advice,
Tyler

The April 9th Caps game is the last game of the season and the "shirts off our backs night". the 20 guys who dress are giving their sweaters to 20 fans that night. but there's a catch this year. It's actually a raffle $5 or 3/$10. Not sure of the last day they're selling entries, but they had started selling them last night. Cory Murphy and Mike Smith were signing on the concourse during the 1st intermission last night as well.

Just looked it up and the Bolts are doing the red carpet thing on April 9th before the Capitals game. Theyere also doing it this Sunday so I may have to go to that. Go yell at McKenna dressed all dapper in his suit :)

That Caps game though, if you get there 3 hours early thats when the guys show up and walk the line and sign and take pictures and such. The games stuff may even be a bit young for you, but some of it may be ok :) Alot of it is geared towards really young kids (bouncing pens and such), but hey even a 26 year old like me would probably go in givn the chance haha

6'4"...practically Vinny and Arty are the only two guys taller unless that idiot Koci is still here and I'm sure he will be. For him, just look for the ape looking guy not sure where he's walking and that will be David Koci :)

Malone used to actually live in the hotel next to the arena though I'm sure he has a place now haha. I know several of the younger guys stll live over there though, as much time as I spend in hotel rooms also I feel bad for them but then I realize they make like 8 times as much as me and I dont feel toooo bad!

Sweet thats great news.. Where do you get this information from? Is there a website?

Yeah thats Troy. He'll know where shops are. I havent visited one since I moved. There's a place called WonderWater in North Tampa thats kind of expensive and more focused on comics anyway. I know Troy knows of a few others so hopefully he answers
