Anyone know where to get a box of 2004 Topps Pristine?

If you find it and open it, let PUCKFRMCALI know, as I think he's working on the base set right now. Best of luck on finding it though. I know I'd go all after a box of 03-04 BAP In the Game Used Signature Series if I were to see it available.

I found some. Actually, 5 boxes. At $317 a piece, just depends how many you want and since their almost completely dried up, you take them or leave them. Here's the link:

Their located on the Beckett.com marketplace and sold by Burbank Sportscards which is a fine outfit for product, but definitely pricey at times. I have bought some very hard to find singles from them and it went well. Very few people nowadays thoroughly browse the Beckett.com marketplace anymore for things, and I have managed to find a few hidden gems time to time. Hope this info helps.

My god, 317 isn't what I had in mind. But damn, this guy has all the good stuff. 03-04 Premier, 01/02 Ice, 03/04 BAP Ultimate, etc.

Still, that price is a little outrageous, I think I paid 135 for my boxes back in the day. I suppose the fact that they've dried up is a big factor, however, if you look at his other prices, he probably has no clue. Is there a way I can message him without having to sign up at Beckett?

Just click on the dealer name and it takes you to the online store. There will be an email and a telephone for them. The price is high, I agree, but it is the fact that you probably won't find any boxes anywhere else online. On singles he deals a little on the price, but on boxes I do not know. I still doubt he will come down to your price thinking. He might give you 10% off or so. Hope you get what you're looking for.

I have found Burbank prices to be high and not so flexible. A lot of things he seems to be out to lunch on. If you do decide to message him, good luck but don't be expecting it to be very productive.

They'll probably let their entire warehouse slide off into the ocean with the rest of California before they cut you a deal on anything.

lol Burbank. They have a few singles I need, but the prices are beyond anything I could consider sane.

I could be mistaken but I think I saw a box of this stuff on the shelf last month at West's Sportscards here in Edmonton. I don't know the guys email address but I think I've seen him post here before.

Did a search at my source and closest I came was Topps C55 :)

Good luck - that stuff is nice.

Oh, and yeah Burbank is great to deal with - bought a ton of singles off of them on the 'Bay!

Burbank Sports Cards prices may seem high but he bases his prices on the following:

Selection - You said it best, he has all the good stuff which no-one else has seen in a half decade. The $317 price is "outrageous" when you compare it to the $135 you paid back when it came out. The stuff has dried up. The last box I opened of that stuff was three years ago when I was chasing my Mike Knuble Pristine Refractor and I paid $250.00. Just like the rest of the player collectors know, I know I can take my Khabibulin list to Burbank and drop close to $300.00 on 5 cards that I need, but I am not an instant gratification type person and I do not mind waiting until they show.

Market Knowledge - The reason why their prices are high on that kinda stuff is because they have sold it at those prices. They do the "State of the Industry" postings on the Marketplace Dealer boards every quarter and they admit that they start some of their prices at 233% of current book for the hard to find stuff, and it sells. If people were not paying those kinds of prices, they would change them. Just like Beckett has been shown not to be 100% accurate when it comes to some of the higher end cards, it also works the other way.

You may not be willing to pay $317.00 for a box of Pristine, but the next person might be.
