Hi all!
It was my first ever Expo last weekend. I was amazed by how big it was, the amount of dealers there and also the amount of people on the floor. I'd like to salute every member I met there, I was the guy wearing a Flyers jersey and an orange tuque (the only one basically). I'd like to especially thank Jeremy (gomaz), he was very kind to me, we made a couple of deals and he even went over the top as he gave me a ride home to the hotel and to Zet's for our dinner with Dan (great8). Thanks again Dad!
I would also like to give a shoutout to Ameet (99goals) he gave me his phone number so I was able to text him any question I had, it was much appreciated. We were also able to strike 3 deals in the same day. Thanks again fella!
Here's what I picked up during the month. Most of these come from Hans at gamebreakers. Picked these up in Ottawa on a sudden ''my parents are in Mexico, I have a couple of days off before final exams, what should I do'' trip.
And here's what I picked up at the Expo. I got a 16x20 photo of the LCB line autographed which was probably the highlight of my weekend. Didn't buy any high-end card but got some interesting pieces. I would also like to thank the dealer who gave me a 8x11 autographed photo of Zac Rinaldo, I didn't even buy from his table and he was kind enough to give it to me, much appreciated. I'm done chasing Flyers cards for the 11-12 Dominion release which is a good thing.
So all in all, during the month of April and the first weekend of May I have:
-Completed my Kevin Marshall RC collection at 8/8
-Completed my Marc-Andre Bourdon RC collection at 6/6
On my wantlist there is now 76 cards from Upper Deck and 86 from Panini for a total of 162 cards (Fleer Showcase being the last product included).
Thanks to everyone who made this show'n'tell post possible.
Next couple of months should be way more quiet in terms of acquiring cards.
