Hi there,

A while back I bought a pair of game used gloves (blocker and catching glove) from Cape Breton under the impression that they were Pavelec's. Turns out that just the catching glove was. After doing a bunch of photo matching, I discovered that the blocker was Marc Andre Fleury's. I know that game used items of his are not as available out there, so I thought I would just give everyone here a heads up that I put it on the other site to sell in case they were looking for a game used item of his. Photo match pictures are available on the auction site.

Are you saying that's a Fleury blocker from his Cape Breton Screaming Eagles days? Or a Penguins blocker that someone in Cape Breton bought?

If it's a Screaming Eagles blocker I'd be interested to know what you'd want for it.

EDIT: Just checked out the eBay listing and answered my own question. I attended a number of games that season including his last as an Eagle and he would have been wearing that blocker. It makes you wonder how many more game-used items including Eagles gamers are buried in closets around Cape Breton. An Eagles gamer would be an incredible find for anyone lucky enough to track one down.

I lucked out, sort of. I have 4 of his gloves. I was hoping to finally have landed a Pavelec blocker, but no!:|

I don't think the seller even knew that is what they had. They had them as a set, but those quick few photo match searches answered it all quite quickly.

Hopefully someone will give it a good home. I do like the historic value, but I just have too much stuff to keep it. I would not enjoy it as much as someone else who is a true fan.

I am more then interested in this... If you have a set price in mind I would be very interested and can pickup locally. It would fit into my Fleury collection quite well :D

I also may be able to help out on the Pavelec blocker, having worked for Rick St Croix for years I got to know the Vaughn rep really well. I can see if I still have his contact info and can see if he has any of Pavs old Vaughn stuff kicking around.

Looks to be similiar to his Pens rookie year gloves? I know where his pads, and gloves are sitting from his rookie year. I know I can't afford them.

Nice pics. These are the ones he used just after the blocker I am selling. I think. That is a really nice set there.
