I was bidding on a clarke Gillies sog auto. Seller had high feedback. Just received an email saying that the auction was removed for violating policy. It seemed legit to me, any ideas why it would be removed?

could be a great variety of things.
only way to find out would be to ask the seller, or see if there's a relisting.

eBay does some random sampling of auctions for stuff that they consider violations. One time I was selling a bunch of stuff off and had about 100 auctions ended by eBay because I said something along the lines of 'email me if you are looking for anything you don't see here.' eBay said this violates their policy because I was trying to use ebay to sell stuff off ebay to circumvent fees. eBay refunded my fees for all the listings, and I relisted everything without that one line and everything was fine. That is just one example of what COULD have happened. The seller could also have been banned for good or temporarily.

So, you were gonna bid against me were you? ;) I was the high bidder until it got removed. I didn't see anything wrong with the listing either, not sure what happened.
