I'd just use Black...I used Black on my Kane jersey and looks great

I hope it's not just like the one you linked in that eBay listing, because that's a fake. The numbering and lettering are way off and I think the crest is lacking detail also. If you are getting that jersey, having it signed is a waste, because if you ever try to trade it or sell it the buyer is going to realize it's a piece of crap and question why you would put a real autograph on a fake jersey.

This is how the back of a Hawks jersey should look:

What I would suggest is seeing if there's a jersey letterer in your area and having just the white part of the 9 (or the 1, whatever) made. Spray it a couple times with an unscented hairspray (AquaNet works well) and that will give you a good base for the autograph to stand up.

A fine black Sharpie should do the trick nicely. The you can get a legit jersey and having the autographed number sewn on and have it customized with the Cup patch.

yes i knew the jersey was a fake when i baught it, but i just could not afford to spend much more than what i spent on this one. this jersey will not not be sold as a piece of crap with a real autograph on it.

Be ready for the possibility Toews won't sign it. Many of the players know these fakes and know the NHL and NHLPA receive nothing from them. A number of players have stopped signing jerseys even at paid signings to avoid supporting fakes.
