Can anyone tell me what the heck the points are for with beckett? All I want to do is sign up for online price guide and i have been bounced around a few times and now I have to do this point system? Can anyone here explain? Does anyone on here use the online price guide?

I use it for football. I've been on for 3 years and not sure what's up with the points. I currently have 0 points. I get 500 for my monthly subscription and then they take them away immediately. Past 90 days:

I know that doesn't help you but Beckett's a joke for the most part anyway!

You buy points that get used for subscriptions.
It's silly actually, because their initial plan was to just charge you for buying points which you could use on subscriptions, trading fees, etc.
Now that most of that has been dropped, it's just a pita inconvenience.
Simple is better, but Beckett Media has had to learn that lesson the hard way.

Beckett somehow thought that they could charge people to use their site as a forum for trade without actually offering anything by way of mediation or protection - just give us money because you made this trade on our site.

Yeah.

I can't believe I wasted so much time on that site in the first place, knowing what I know now about HI. THIS is the place to be.

I personally think its a way to help stop people filing chargebacks with their credit card companies.

You buy the points. You receive them.
Now you use those points to buy an online subscription. You realize how much of a pain in the butt it is to try and use their system (if its working). You cant file a chargeback cause you received your "points"
Its up to you on what you use them for.

(does what I just wrote make sense to anyone? haha)
