Just looking for information, recent, if possible, about Beehive hockey cards.

I inherited 247 of them, series 1 and 2's, and I am having a tough time finding info about them that is fairly up to date?

I am not sure at this point what I plan to do with them (I have to catalog them first) to find out their value then decide.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Great looking site by the way!

Are any similar cards listed on comc.com? I know they list as bee hive with a space and i find it annoying. They have lots of bee hive from the post 2000 era but i havent looked for those.

Comc also has 1997-98 Pinacle Beehive but I didnt find anything older. What can you see on ebay?

Ebay has some listings for 1934-44 beehive group 1 and alike.
To the HI crew. Does beckett list the older beehives like this?

Nothing older on comc, only new or modern.

I have searched E-Bay and found quite a few but prices are all over the map!

With the high prices VS low prices, I can find no reason for the differences but that info must be out there somewhere?

The best I could find was this article talking about a Cy Wentworth, His card is worth about 8,000 dollars if he is wearing a Canadians jersey.
I have one but he is in a Montreal Maroons jersey.
(won't let me post a URL until 15 posts?) it is beehive history .com

I've pretty much exhausted Google so that is why I am hoping some of these forums can help. The info has to be out there somewhere that breaks down these cards better?
I started cataloging some of mine but man, are some of the signatures ever hard to read!
I wish, like most normal sports cards, there was a number on the back. It would make things so much easier!

Thanks for you help.

I would try vintagehockeyforum.com
There are some guys on there that are really knowledgeable with vintage and they should be able to help you out.

Great to hear!

Looking forward to hearing from them.

Wow! Looks like a fantastic collection. Congrats! Even the original envelopes! :whatthehell:

Find yourself a copy of The Charlton Standard Catalogue of Hockey Cards. I think they are up to at least 14th Edition, but any edition should provide the info you are looking for. They will have complete listing and prices. The prices may not be 100% accurate, but at least give you an idea of commons versus high $.

You may be able to find a copy at some used book stores or your local hobby store, or searching online.

Good luck!!

Thank you!

I have been offered a copy of the Charlton book, I just have to make arrangements to pick it up.

So far I have been trying to catalog everything but it is daunting!

Looks like a really awesome and neat collection. Must be quite rare. Let us know what you discover on value, etc., once you've catalogued them.

I have a check list with all versions and values including the planes, olympians and related collectibles from cigarette lighters to the cans and lables. It is my own creation and it is in a excel spread sheet format. I will send it to you if you reply to me via private message
