There have been five new products in 2004-05.
1. 2004-05 Pacific
2. 2004-05 Upper Deck Legenday Signatures
3. 2004-05 ITG Heroes & Prospects
4. 2004-05 Upper Deck Series 1
5. 2004-05 Upper Deck Legends Classics
Very simple. What is you favorite product and why? Poll attached. Mike

I might be the only one voting for Pacific, but I like the clean design. Beautiful looking cards. A very close second with a good design is Upper Deck Series 1. Unfortunately, Pacific will not hold any value as not too many people liked their efforts.

I think Legends Classics is my fav product this year. I like the "hard" autos, and the chance of a big pull (Quad,Triple,Jersey redemption, etc) makes it a fun rip. I may be biased because I pulled a Beliveau jersey, but even the "worst" boxes of legends I have seen aren't that bad. IMO, A close second place is H & P.

Although, it's only been out for a week or so... I went with UD Legends Classics.

1. Hard signed autographs (even if that means a few redemption cards)
2. No useless game used. Yay!
3. Best design so far... and clear spot for the autograph (except for Doug Wilson :D )
4. Players who have actually played in the NHL! Not ones who may never reach that level.
5. Pennants are a pretty neat thing (at least different for a change)
6. Full sized jersey and jacket redemptions (even if they don't belong to the player)

Just my 2 cents. :)

Unlike most, I am also a big fan of most of the Pacific products. I think last years Calder product was one of the years best. Esp the Rookie Jerseys. Unfortunately products like Pacific and UD1 rely so heavily on the true RC's that without those the product's lose a lot of their appeal. Just my opinion for what that's worth.

I voted for H&P. I love the product. It's reasonably priced with 2 autos and 1 GU in a box.

I'm kind of surprised that Legends Classics hasn't been reviled the way that Legendary Signatures was. You're paying more for autos on average and there isn't that much difference in player selection for autographs.

The player selection in Legends Classics may be similar, but:

1. The design of Classics is much more eye appealing than Leg Sigs
2. The addition of Patrick Roy to the mix
3. The pennants, jersey, and jackets are a new twist
4. The inclusion of dual, triple, and quad autos trump the triple only autos in Leg Sigs

Again... just my opinion.

The addition of Patrick Roy is nice but the base set is way uglier in Legends Classics. Also, if you really wanted a jersey, why not just buy it? For the amount of money that you would drop on a box you are well on your the way to the cost of a jersey.

The quad autos are nice but with them /10, you're not going to pull one. Leg. Sigs had dual autos as well, they were the defense pairings.

I have to go with Upper Deck Series 1. It's the only set with star players besides Pacific. Mostly, I just like pulling cards of players that I know of. Not some prospect in some European league.

Thanks,
Justin
