Best Personal Mailday!

Well its hard to top this mailday for myself. Landed 2 sweet cards for my personal collection. First one was a:
08-09 SPA Authentic Auto/Patch /100, its only white but hey for $50 i'll take it. Guy swung me a killer deal! Here it is:

Next is my, how do you say it, cornerstone to my collection, my first ever 1/1, bought on ebay, so i never personnaly pulled it. But hey i'll take it. But first I need everyone opinion on this. Should I get Luke to autograph this card, i was thinking maybe a white auto across the stick, I need to here everyones opinion on this. Am I destroying a 1/1? What do you guys think? Comments on cards? Thanks for viewing.

Very nice cards! Its all up to you wether you want it signed. I probably wouldnt but if you are keeping it in your PC (which it looks like you are) then its not that bad of an idea.

it's a 1/1, don't mess with it. there are other, less valuable cards to play around with.

This can go 2 ways IMO.

If you're keeping it for your PC, go for it dude!

If you plan on getting rid of it later at some point, keep it the way it is.

Either way, it's an awesome card and so is the SPA!

Plus I'm sure you have a tonne of his autographs already. Leave that beauty as is!!

Get him some other stuff to sign....

I'd rather get a stick, have him sign it, and have someone make you a card, and leave that one alone. You may be super hard up one day, or lose interest in him, and have to move it.

I get alot of IP and TTM auto's and I have had multiple jersey cards and the likes auto'd so I am not going to say don't do it but on the other hand I have got Luke IP once and his graph was a LS on a card and a decent graph on an 8x10 but that was personalized. So it could go either way. JMO but I would keep it as a 1/1 and get another card/stick/jersey card signed.

I hate top loaders to display cards so the first thing I would do is break the seal and get it in a real holder.

But I would be very hesitant to get it signed. There are several Schenn cards that would look sweet with an auto that are a fraction of the price of this one.

I would get something that makes a better display signed like a jersey or 8 X 10. A card is real tough and what happens if he messes up the signature for examples I had Felix Potvin sign two Kings jerseys for me and even though he was signing on the number for the Kings he put the Leafs number at the end of his signature ruining the jerseys or I had one of Gretzky's books that I was having signed by players pictured in the book and teammates of his along the way till Kurri signed the book and closed it before the ink was dry smearing his auto on both pages.

Hope these thoughts help and let us know what you decide to do.

loving the input, i'll add to this a bit, Luke's my cousin reason for signing and can probably get non rushed sig. Item will stay in my family forever probably.
Notice people mention different cards to get signed, any in specific from anyone I should get done, that would look good.
Already have 8x10s, pucks, jerseys signed, No cards as of yet.

Well with that info get it done.. He has a great graph when he takes his time.. Definately a great item to have and since it is family go for it... :beer:

If he is your cousin I say keep the card sealed, and get yours hands on a full game used stick for him to sign Is that too much to ask for? Beauty of a mail haul by the way.

I would get a card that normally does not come signed like his Upper Deck or OPC rookie and that there are millions made because if you do not care about the value and just want it for the looks then those with a picture of Luke in it would be better than a stick card.

I would not get it signed. I know a friend that got a Cup printing plate autoed and than he tried selling it and it didn't sell so now he's stuck with it

Great two additions to the PC, I'd say leave it alone, don't get it signed

I would do it, with silver paint pen. Would make for a very unique PC item.
