What is the lowest BGS Raw Grade you would consider getting slabbed?

Has anyone had the opportunity to use BGS Raw Grading services at shows and able to share their experiences? I'm thinking of taking a few cards to the Expo.

1) What type of pricing is involved for the Raw grade with the temp seal?
2) Approx how long does it take? ie, if I submit early on a show day, when may I expect the Raw grades to be complete
3) Anyone request immediately slabbing of their Raw Grades at the show? How much and timing?

Any other comments are welcome

Used it a number of times. Price depends on the size of your submission but is anywhere from $10-15 CDN based on memory per card. Usually they have the cards ready for you the next day. For immediate slabbing you have to submit through a BGS authorized dealer or mail it in yourself, Beckett does not take slabbing submissions on site.

At the expo last year I got cards raw graded in couple hours for 13 a card I think. There was also 1 hour service for 20.
For hard stabbed they took card and I got about a month later

I am pretty sure they do take submissions on site at the Expo. I know for sure they will at the Summit Show.

When I tried at fall expo I was told Beckett did not take them directly but rather my LCS had to give them to the distributor who then sent them into Beckett.

I know they do it through Grosnor but you fill out the paper work and pay, nothing to do with your lcs if done at the Summit Show.

If you get a raw grade of 9.5 is that what your gonna get if you send it in to be graded and slabbed or do they regrade it.

I want to say yes, big thing is it HAS to stay in their POSSESSION, if you take it and leave their booth then it completely gets regraded.

Beckett has posted an update re: their Raw Grading services and prices for Spring Expo here.

So here's a follow-up question. What is the minimum Raw Grade you would submit for official slabbing. In this case, say a modern card like a McDavid YG. Obviously a 10 for sure. But 9.5? 9? How low would you go?

I haven't done this in a while...they used to let you submit it and then reduce the $25 fee by the Raw Grade fee (meaning, $12 off the $25). Do they still do that or are you paying $13 for the Raw Grade and an additional $25 for the slabbing?
