Next, we'll explain the giveaway.....
I recently made a trade with Julian Fuel_77. I sent him a SPX Hemsky insert #/500 and in exchange, I told him to just suprise me with something. Well, he did. He had read my post a few weeks back where I saw the Cincinatti Mighty Ducks play the Edmonton Roadrunners. So Julien bought and sent me a pair of 2nd row tickets to the Ducks vs. Hamilton Bulldogs on Jan. 21 at the Cincinatti Gardens. SWEET! Now here's the problem, I live in Los Angeles, lol. Not exactly a short drive. I really appreciate Julien going out of his way to buy me something that cost him probably 10 times what the Hemsky would have cost him! That just shows what a great trader he is!

Now, since Cincinatti is a little too far for me to drive to the game, I figured I would just do this... Give them away to somebody that will go to the game. So, if you want them, and you will attent the game, let me know and they are yours! Thanks again Julien, you rock!

And finally, the local radio station I listen to, 106.7 KROQ in L.A., is auctioning off a ton of cool things to help the tsunami victims. You can see the auctions at www.KROQ.com under the "Big a** auction. I'm hoping that Chris will not edit this out because it is for a very good cause. I just wanted to mention it because I know alot of board members listen to KROQ music and might like to own some of the things up for auction. I, myself will be bidding on the drum lessons from Travis Barker :D. I am also dying to get through tomorrow morning, as Tenacious D will be in the studio and for a $500 donation, Jak and Kyle will write and record a song about you  I think I want mine called "WonderMike :D

Thanks for taking the time to read my little update!
Mike

Chris,
Interesting. I never got the email. Try sending me a PM.

Stacy,
The irony is, I might be going to Cincinatti the following weekend for work, lol.

Mike - Personally, I'd go for the "Pimp My Ride" auction. ;) The RHCP signed guitar would be a nice runner-up. :D

Nice mail.

Personally $500 for the D to write a song about you is money well spent....even cooler that its going for a great cause.
Thanks for the link to the auction...some cool stuff on there man.

Mike. I don't know what I like better the cards or the read. :D Both are awesome. Julian is a great trader and a class act. You are one also for giving him the credit he deserves. Great thread. Mike

Personally i would go with Mike's Kielbasa as a song

Sweet Pick up's bye the way NOW GET IT ON

Much thanks is also due to you, for going out of your way to get me the Hemsky :D

Regarding the Tsunami relief, I think its great that this has kinda brought a lot of the world together to help the situation down there. Personally I've been trying to get involved in as much as possible myself - if not for Thailand, I would have been wiped out. I was also planning at trip down there to fly out on the 27th, so a very close call indeed. On the items, I'm a huge Metal/Rock fan so many of those items make my mouth water. And yikes, there are so many Gwen Stefani items on there :D

Julian

Jay,
The "Pimp my ride" would be sweet. My car could use some pimpin' :D

Jeff,
Thanks, but I was not able to get in on the phones to get the song :( The songs they did though were freakin' HIlarious!

Mike,
Julien is a great trader and I think people need to know that he went far and beyond what he had to. I owe him big time in my opinion!

Steve,
If I got through on the phones, I was going to use your suggestion :D Thanks!

Julien,
I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I'm glad you are ok! I know there are a lot of signed Gwen items up in the auction. Fortunatly, I've already got mine...
Gwen.jpg

I met her and the rest of the band at an instore right after Tragic Kingdom was released. I also went to school and worked with Gabe McNair (plays trombone and keyboards for the band). But we haven't seen each other in years. And there is no picture of Gwen that does her justice! She's just bangin'! :D

Cory,
Thanks! They are getting closer :D

Eli,
Thanks my friend! I know that Adam (Phantomkid) has another one of the Orr's. If thew kid ever gives up on this hobby (yeah, right), I'm sure it will hit the 'bay very quickly.

Just a quick update, as the bidding is over $4000 for the drum lesson from Travis Barker, I don't think I'll be winning that one, lol.

Mike

Mike,
First off, great mail, and that's awesome of Julian to send you tix's to a game. Really cool for sure.

Also, just wonderin' do you play drums?

Wes

Wes,
Thanks! I played a little in high school. I've always loved playing, and I would die to buy a set and start again. But I have nowhere to set them up and play in the condo. I think I would drive the neighbors up the wall. And it's just too expensive to rent a studio just to fart around.

I think Travis is an amazing drummer and would love to sit with him and learn even just a couple of things from him.

Mike

Mike,
That's cool! You should get a set of electronic drums if noise is a problem. They aren't as good sounding, but they are constantly getting better.

Funny thing is I've always heard Barker is really good, but I've never actually heard him play. I'm not a fan of that style of music really.

Anyways, cool talking to you about drumming Mike! :)

Wes
