Hello all,
Well I haven't been too busy dabbling in the card world lately. I've been making some other rather large purchases.
First off, I'll show off a bat. Not exactly hockey related but i'll show it anyways. Growing up as a Montrealer, baseball and hockey were pretty big in our family. My father and I were huge Expos fans, he was a huge Gary Carter fan. I can write a book on the countless stories my dad told me about "The Kid." He used to always say he'd kill to have a piece of game used memorabilia from Mr.Carter, we have an auto or two but never a game used item. Well that changed. One day I came across a pretty stunning item on ebay. Charged up the paypal account and decided to surprise him by purchasing it.
He didn't have the slightest idea. I opened it up and surprised him with this. Let's just say it's been a long time since I've seen my father tear up like a baby. Well worth it :giggity:
The inscription: "Best of Luck, God Bless Always, Gary Carter"
The wear on the handle is just beautiful, tape marks everywhere! Great wear on it.
Here's the barrel of it, the bat is just stunning in person.
Alright alright, now we can officially say we own a game-used autographed bat of Gary carter :beer:
Now let's move on to some cards. Here's a set I've been contemplating doing for a long time, finally decided to take the plunge and go on a spree. Managed to scoop up a couple.
Also managed to snag a SP! Have 4 more incoming hopefully :giggity:
Now one more thing, seeing as I graduated in June and i'm working at the hospital now, I've had a little more money than I usually do. I've been doing a lot of on-call at the hospital so I obviously needed a means of getting to the hospital fast. Well I found something to take of that, here's my new little toy! :corn:
