Hi everyone. Just wanted to ask the above question on Bo Jackson's best or top baseball rookie card. From what I can see on eBay, it seems this is his top rookie - 1986 Topps Traded Bo Jackson ROOKIE RC #50T (Tiffany). Even the regular 86 Topps rookie seems to trump the other one's. But I could be wrong. LMK if I am correct or if there is another one that is better.

Thanks,

cburt

PS. Looking at Bo's cards in PSA slabs.

Mods it looks like you can lock this one up. Thanks to some research of my own and some great help from another HI member - Matt, it looks like my original belief is true. His best and most valuable rookie, though actually an XRC is his 1986 Topps Traded Tiffany. It looks like the next best rookie would be his 1987 Topps Tiffany. Prices are pretty ridiculous on these in PSA 10 slabs.

The Tiffany Sets were limited - and very limited relative to their regular cousins. On the regular sets - I think they may have limited to about 2,500-3,000. For the Update sets - they were even more limited - possibly to about 1,000-1,500.

That is why high grading examples of the Updates sell so well. Also the 1986 Traded set was printed on Tiffany like stock without the glossy coating - but because they were packed in a factory set - it can be a little condition sensitive especially with the black borders

If you're being technical, I also don't believe that the rookies in the Tiffany sets are considered to be RCs. They're a parallel of the regular set. But I could be wrong.

That's a good point. Makes sense that the tiffany's would be parallels since they are unique to the regular sets. And as Hama also pointed out they were very limited, production-wise compared to the regular set. So all that being said they might not be true rookies at all.
