Box Break: JLA Archives Archive box - 39 sketches!

Back in December, I plunked down a chunk o' dosh for an Archive box of JLA Archives. For what I'm after - diversity in both style and content of the sketches - it's a pretty good buy. Here's the results, sorted by character:

Superman:

I like'em all, really. Different aspects of Superman.


Batman:

Not so much diversity here. Really like the one by RLS. Not so fond of the bottom middle - that one's available.


Martian Manhunter:

Always liked J'onn. He's like Batman + Superman - rage + calm + angst. None available.


The Arrows Green and Canary Black:

Connor's available. The second from the right on the top is available. That horrid, horrid messy Canary sketch is available. The rest...I like.


Pair of Flashes and Ray Palmer:

I'm glad to see Ray get some play, though I'm a little irked that I haven't seen a single sketch yet that delves into the whole Sword of the Atom digression in the late 80s. Lovin' the Jay Garrick with the classic helmet. None of these available.


GL and Zatanna:

That purple and green monstrosity? Way available. Hideous. Dos Santos did a hella nice job with his sketch.


Some miscellany of Air and Water:

Good sketches all, and I'll keep them.


Finally, there's this gem by Andy Price, which I'm thinkin' is a great hit EVEN for an Archive box:

the batman sketches are pretty cool - biased since he's my favourite. i like #1 and #3 from the top row, the rest are so-so...coming in a close second is the flash but only 2 of them? boourns.

i really like the hawkman sketch, probably because of the linework. that andy price is awesome.
