Brock Lesnar Out of UFC 106

Ive been down in the dumps since I found out this morning. Gordon (Shaboobala) and I are heading down to watch that fight and now its pretty disappointing seeing that the card is lacking star power.

With Coleman and Almeida having to withdraw due to injury. The Jon Fitch fight was moved. Originally the Kenny Florian/Clay Guida bout was suppose to be on this card. Seems like there taking alot out and not putting much back in.

Boo-Urns!!

Crossing my fingers that Guida/Ken Flo is moved back and Mir/Kongo can be moved up a month.

I don't think it makes up for me missing the title fight, but I'd be happy to see those fights.

Not that it has anything to do with the thread, but Ilya Kovalchuk is out 3-5 weeks with a foot injury (He's doing very well for me in the hockey pool) . Theres another kick in the groin

Koscheck twittered today saying that he's now going to be in the co-main event for UFC 106. He didn't say whom he'd be fighting; however, there's been the chirping back and forth between the guys from A.K.A. (most notably Koscheck) and Matt Hughes. So maybe Koscheck and Hughes?

Reporting that Kos will fight Rumble Johnson, still doesnt make up for the $315 for the ticket :|

I feel you, after his last fight the last place Forrest should be is a PPV let alone highlighting it, additionally fighting someone who hasn't fought in 2 years.

I would be choked.

Lesnar/Carwin was definitely a fight I was looking forward too. Koschek vs Rumble Johnson now?!? Damn, two fighters I can't stand. This card is not looking good although I don't see why Forrest shouldn't be a headliner. He lost against Anderson Silva. I'll repeat he lost against Anderson friggin' Silva. He's a former champ and one of the most popular fighters in the world and he lost to the pound for pound best fighter in the world. I'd go to a card that he's headlining. Not to mention I hate Tito so..........

I'm really hoping Guidda/Ken-Flo does end up on this card and it is Hughes and not Johnson. If that happens, then I'll be excited.

Yeah he lost to a fighter from a lower weight class in the most embarrassing fight I have ever seen, so bad in fact I question if Forrest should even be fighting or not, let alone headlining a PPV.

I for one will NEVER pay for a Forrest Griffin headlined PPV ever again, because if I want to see someone get beats up so ridiculously I can hit the local bar. You wouldn't pay to watch a team of 14 year olds play vs. NHL players, which is essentially the same thing.

UFC 106 has only accomplished one thing for sure, saving me money.

Silva fights at 185 but he should be in the 205 division. He looked just as big as Forrest in that fight and I believe he even had a slight reach advantage. Say what you will about Forrest but the only reason it was so embarrassing was because he got up afterthe first two times he was rocked. Most fighters would not have.

By the time Silva finished him, he had no idea what time zone he was in but still given 'er.

I won't question Forrest's toughness, re stupidity. However when a fighter can absolutely drop his hands and dodge your fists matrix style, I think its time to reconsider your career.

Silva has done that a few times. Its a trap to him, he knows he'll get hit but he knows he's quick enough to not get hit where he doesn't want to get hit. As soon as a fighter bites, he drops them.

It will backfire on Silva one day though. As soon as one guy gets smart and decides to tackle him and take him down, rather then throw a punch. He'll be in trouble.
