I am a bit disappointed by hearing this. I always appreciate those one team players and hoped that he would remain a one team player for his career. I didn't mind him going to St Louis to try to continue his career, but with St. Louis getting 2 healthy goalies back, I guess he could see the writing on the wall.
Please note - I have nothing against the Blues. I just think it's really cool in this day and age to have a long career with just one team and feel it's a bit of a shame that he does have a minor blemish of 7 St. Louis games on his record. I don't think it would bother me as much if it was 40+ GP over a season or 2, but it's basically a month (Dec 4-Jan 2) in one jersey (no pun intended) after 20+ years in NJ. It doesn't tarnish my opinion of him as one of the best two goalie of the last 30 years, but still would've been nice to see him remain as one of the very few one team players.
