i was just searching around ebay and noticed how much people pay for an old wax box that possibly has a Lemieux, Gretzky, Yzerman, etc. rookie card. So i was just wondering if anyone has done this and profited greatly or is currently saving a box of older stuff or maybe even a some wax of this years product with the great rookie crop it offers. LMK your thoughts

I haven't done it but what I have been thinking about is picking up a box or two of spx and selling locally. The boxes in calgary are going for 200-275/box and I can find them on ebay for $150 canadian buy it now. Kinda weird how it works.

ALso, what I don't know about trilogy, is that the card stores sell at $30/pack, but I can pick up a box for the cost of 5 packs ($150)??

With the cuts in shipments and this years great rookie class. This would be in my mind one of the best years to hang onto sealed boxes/cases. I planned on doing it, attempted it but it didnt last long. After 2 days I cracked my extra saved artifacts case, I am surprised it lasted 48 hours to tell you the truth :D

I am now saying I will keep a sealed case of ice or spa and not touch it, you can laugh at me when you see my live breaks.

I actually have 2 boxes of 85-86 topps saved, and one of the O-pee-chee. My dad bought them for me for my birthday when i was young and then hid them from me. I actually forgot about them, and in 2000 I would say, when I came back from Hawaii, he gave them to me. I had a few offers and decided to hold on to them. Could there be a PSA Lemieux in there that would hit a 10. Anyhow, yes I do have some old vintage that my dad gave me, never knew he bought it for me, and wow am I glad now.
