Many of you that have done transactions with me on here know I'm fairly new to actual "trading"; I collect Osgood cards, so I tend to not have much worth trading!

My question is: I've picked up this Eric Fehr Heroes & Prospects Nameplates card:
HPFront.jpg

Someone wants to trade me straight up for a 2000-01 UD Legends Legendary Collection Bronze Chris Osgood /25 card. I just had a friend email me to tell me the Osgood booked at $15 according to last year's Charlton guide.. surely the Fehr card must be worth more than that??

Are these Nameplates cards worth much at all???

Any help would be appreciated! I'm not saying the guy is trying to screw me here, but the more knowledge I have, the better off I'll bet!

Be gentle.. lol

Mike

The card is not listed due to scarcity but, his emblem and number cards(out of 30) book for $80 each. I'd say around $100 would be a fair trade value.

Thanks much, Lalimefan40 and secondchance.. taht definitely helps!

Also, according to the Beckett site, the Osgood /25 books at $40, where the Charlton Annual that *I* have says it books at $15..?? Seems like a big discrepancy here..

Either way, the guy still wants to do a "straight up" trade, and from what you guys are telling me, I should be asking for a bit more from his side..

Thanks again!

Mike

bit o' an update.. now he's decided that maybe he COULD throw in another card or two.. lol.. he's offering this 2003-04 Parkhurst O6 Stick/Jersey for Robitaille.. nice looking stick piece, anyway..

I've asked for one more piece of GU that books at around $20, seeing as he's offered to trade "in my favour".. is that pushing my luck? What do y'all think?

Cheers,

Mike

I think the osgood and robitaille are a fair trade for the Fehr, however it would slightly be leaning towards him, seeing as how the Fehr is NPDTS...

I think asking him to add a $20 is fair, especially if he offered to trade in your favour

Mike - the first deal is obviously unfair, the second getting better - but still not worth it for the Nameplate #/10 vs the serial numbered Osgood card & the Luc.

If the deal falls through - let me know.
I do have a few nice Osgood cards left that you may need.

Dave, Jim & Bruce: Thanks much for your valued input.. it's people like you guys that make this my favourite card site on the web..

Bruce: PM sent!

I'll post any developments.. this guy is definitely tenacious (tho he first claimed he didn't "need the card", he just wanted an extra copy for trade bait.. now, he's workin' his tail off trying to get it from me, so I'm guessing he was trying to appear nonchalant so he could make a low-ball offer).. Thanks to you guys for making sure I wasn't taken there.. :)
