Calgary Roughnecks win lacrosse championship

After the Flames and the Hitmen bowed out of their respective league playoffs, Calgary finally has a championship team for this year. Tonight the Roughnecks beat the New York Titans 12-10 to claim the lacrosse championship. Josh Sanderson was the game mvp. Congrats to the Roughnecks!!

Second championship title in the last 6 years, I do believe.

I personally follow the NLL(National Lacrosse League) from time to time and bar none, Calgary has one of the best fan base in this league.

In a city where it can be tough to get playoff tickets for other sports, the Roughnecks provide a very entertaining product.
