Can you get Beckett to slab cards but not grade them?

I read the article about the Cup Gretzky/Lemieux dual shield, where the card was slabbed and authenticated by Beckett, but from what I recall it wasn't graded.

Is it possible to send cards to Beckett to have them put in slabs for protection and authentication purposes, but not actually have it graded?

I think Triple B suggested this a while back on the Beckett board but I'm not sure what the response was.
 
Yes, it is possible - its kind of tricky to find in their Grading page though, its hidden somewhere towards the bottom. Regular price, it costs the same as grading - they run quite a few promotions for it though.

I'll agree to that, just stupid kids playing...

But to the topic, i have been thinking about sending some cards to this service too. Would be nice to have good protection for some nice cards.
