When I was a kid, my dad bought me a VHS copy of some old Captain America cartoons from 1966.

I loved Cap in the comics, I loved Cap in the 70s movies with Reb Brown (which I just picked up at Walmart for $5!) and now that Marvel had the brains to do make "The Avengers" and the movies leading up to it, I feel like a kid all over again. Had to pick this one up and I can't stop looking at this thing...

This is my third Hot Toys figure having added Batman (1989 - Michael Keaton) and Superman (Christopher Reeve). Up next? The Hulk!

That sure is a nice looking item. :D So is it a figurine or a action figure?

Thanks for the peek and congrats.

Awesome pick-up Ryan! How is the articulation? I've read some places the movement is limited a bit by the costume.

Did you follow Ed Brubaker's run on Cap? It's probably my favorite comic run that I've read.

The articulation is limited by the costume, but in all reality, I just find one simple stance/pose and display it like that. All of these figures are 1/6 or about 12 inches tall...The Hulk is going to be 16.5 inches tall. I don't know where I'm going to keep that one, but it's a good problem to have.

I truthfully haven't read comics regularly since I was a kid. I pick up copies here and there but I find the writing terrible at best in most cases (some of the New 52 stuff has been fantastic, though). I know the Rob Liefeld "art" made me laugh out loud...

There's a Snake Eyes fig for the next GI Joe movie that I'm gonna hafta get I think:

They just got the license for GI Joe...I'm thinking about picking up Snake Eyes as well. They're coming out with a 1/6 scale Batmobile from the 1989 movie AND the 1966 Series. I only wish I had room (and money) for those things.
