Card Poker?

I was in North Dakota and (much to my girlfriends shigren (sp?)) found whats gotta be the only card shop in Grand Forks. I started talking to the guy behind the counter and he started telling me cards he'd won the night before playing poker? Anyone know how this works is it just you each open a pack and best card takes the pot (every ones cards)?

It's just pack wars. I've played it with guys that have also called it poker. We opened Upper Deck and the highest numbered card takes the lot on each round.

It's pack wars. We play it at our trade nights. simple game realy. 4 (can be any number) guys buy a box, split the packs up evenly. They pick a topic such as most goals in a career and they each open 1 pack. The person who has the player with the most goals in thier career wins all the contents of those packs.

THat person then picks the catagory for the next one (assists, oldest, whatever...) and they go through the process again untill all the packs are gone.

Card Poker - one variation. Take two or three cards - go by the checklist number. Make the best poker hand possible out of those numbers - so say you've cards 199 and 91 - you can make a full house out of it. 9 is high, 0 is low.
