Hi,

I am in Edmonton this weekend and then next week I am in Calgary til Saturday night visiting from Winnipeg. I am wondering if their are any good card shops in either city that I should visit or even any shows? I have been to Maple Leaf Sports cards before as well as D i cks Collectibles. I was hoping to get some Turco cards too, so any of you Calgary or Edmonton traders have any?

In Edmonton:

Wayne's Sportscards & West's Sportscards are the two places to see while in town.

In Calgary:

MLS and nothing else.. IMHO..

All the best.

Tim -forget Alberta(it's old news) and come to Saskatchewan where it is happening. We have the luckiest boxes of all. Worth the 7-8 hour trip - GUARANTEED!

Well Tim you mentioned the best two in Calgary IMO. I'd put ****'s ahead of Maple Leaf, but both are great shops. Another one which is pretty decent is Collector's Paradise, located in the NE. They are undergoing some renos, but there are some good deals to be had there as well.

I definitely echo the recommendation for MLS. Best shop in Calgary as far as I'm concerned.

In Edmonton, both shops are great and I got nothing but good things to say about both. Wayne is a bit more ruthless in keeping his shop organized, so if you're hunting something specific you may have better luck there.

I agree with everyone else that MLS is the best shop in Calgary. I don't get to go there much because I live in Vancouver, but any time I'm out there I make sure to make a stop in.

Puttin' D1ck's ahead of MLS.... That's a pretty gutsy move..

Thanks for the info on Collector's Paradise though..

Just echoing everyone else. Maple Leaf in Calgary. Waynes and Wests are the two big boys in Edmonton.

PM me I may have a few Turco patches for trade/sale that you may be interested in.

I would recommend Maple Leaf sports or Collectors Paradise for your card needs in Cowtown. I have dealt with both and find them both a pleasure to deal with and very hobby oriented. :)
