OK, Im in the market for some magnetic one touch holders.

I am looking to store normal sized jersey cards in there, so thicker than a normal card, not as thick as some of those crazy Cup jersey cards.

So I look on the Bay... all these point sizes.

What "point size" is a normal jersey card? I dont want to buy some that are to "tight" or get some where the card is rattling around inside.

Any help appreciated!

I think it goes like this:

35 pt = common cards
55 pt = common jersey cards
75 pt = more sturdy jersey cards (can't feel the jersey indentation on the back)
100 pt = common patch cards
130 pt = Cup RCs
180 pt = Donruss' ridiculously thick patch cards

Personally, I recommend 75pt for Jersey cards. 55pt is a little tight for quite a few jerseys. Also, 100pt is a little small for most patch cards.
Here is what I recommend to customers

35pt common card
75pt jersey card
130pt patch cards / Cup cards

I carry very little 55pt and 100pt at the store and nobody seems to miss it.

Like Mike mentioned, based on our customers wants and needs, we carry the 35 pt, 100 pt and 130 pt. I hade some 75 pt and after 5 years on the shelf, I sold the entire box to the first guy who asked about them and restocked with the 100's.

I tend to buy 55pt for High Gloss cards, 100pt for the relatively thin jersey cards/auto's, and 130pt for any high-end patch. I used to buy the screwdown's but magnetic is the way to go nowadays.
And the 180 pts. are great for stick cards too, although not all stores are carrying them yet.

Ive looked on the bay for the prices and they are way more than you would pay in store, especially after shipping is factored in.
If you have a dealer who knows you well and asked nicely, they would probably give you a discount if you purchased the 25 pack bricks. I can't speak for all dealers, but the one's I deal all share this same practice.

I hope this info helps!

Everything I use is 75 or 130.. the former for common/jerseys, the latter for patches (and what your Probie patch will be shipped in)

btw do you guys know any seller/store who has thicker magnetic holders then 180?

Paul (bidds55) ordered a bunch of adjustable holders from a place in Japan that has a patent pending and I believe he advertises in his HI sig that he still has some. I believe they were a dual chamber one touch, but you can remove the piece in the middle and use it to store one giant card. They will fit auto'd dual shield cards if that is what you're looking to store.

They're pretty pricey, but if you've already spent that much for a dual auto'd shield, what's another $25?
