Card Verification Help (Jumbo Bear Cards in Laval, QC)

Using the power of the forum here. The seller of this card:

Seller's response to me:

The card was bought from Laurent Monette in Montreal 2 years ago and was purchased from Pascal Briand who saw it pulled in from of him at the Jumbo Bear store. What I heard is that the card is 100% legit.

Can anyone help me prove if this is true or not? Appreciate the help in advance.
 
I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's a seller ID to stay away from.

Others will surely come in to confirm or tell me I am an idiot. Come to think of it, they do that anyways... :D

Agreed, I would stay away solely based on who the seller is. It may very well be legit, but based on his track record I would always question if it is real or not.
 
Stephen, If that was Victors card and is the same guy who sets up at the expo with crankshaft, send a pm to crankshaft and ask him if victor once owned that card. I know that victor and rod has lots of eye candy in there showcases
I could be way off and not even be talking about the same victor but it doesn't hurt to ask.................... If you want I can send crankshaft a text and have him chime in
 
The Victor that Maxime (drkicker) is referring to is, I believe, HI member iceman1222781 and not the Victor from London, ON that sets up with Rod (crankshaft).
Also the Laurent Monette mentioned, I believe, is the one that sets up at Expo with ovechkinthegreat8 with all the nice The Cup stuff and is also a hobby acquintaince of HI member Fawad (The MESSIAH).

Thanks Frank. Two different Victors. I sold a Cup Crosby and Ovy RC to Rod's Victor. The other Victor is in Montreal and PM'd me that the carld was not pulled at Jumbo Bear. And as. Crosby collector himself, highly doubts its authenticity. I agree as well.
 
there have been other posts created about possible fake patches on ebay, and good ole dr.bob seems to be the involved seller more often than not.

not saying that he is a patch faker a-la Kenny, maybe he just buys a lot of high end stuff without inspecting it. or maybe he is a patch faker...
 
I can confirm the part that Laurent used to own this card and that the patch was the same at that time. He offered it to me about two years ago. I have no idea who he got it from though.
