Hey all,

I'm looking for some troubleshooting tips for freeing bricked cards!

These are old CFL cards, but schtuck cards are schtuck cards...

Here's what they look like -
Bricked

Here's what I've tried: Freezer, different microwave times, lightly bending to and fro - nothing has really worked... and they lose their ink

Any other tips out there?

Cheers,
Greg

The All World 1992 cards were just terrible in general for that. From my experience, don't think there's much that could be done with them. They got a bit too happy with the UV coating

What about holding over a boiling pot of water?

I've tried that, along with some of the methods in the original post. Never had any luck. With certain products from the 90s in particular, you just have to take a chance. If they're bricked, I think they're gone.

Never tried it myself, but the old hobby folklore states that putting them in the freezer overnight works. If it doesn’t, you’ll just have a stack of cold cards.

thanks for the tips folks.

I bought 4 boxes in hopes of building my CFL Flutie collection, this is indeed a sticky situation :D

Cheers,
Greg
