What have you done in this situation?
I sold a card to another Ebayer with excellent feedback. However, he said that the bubble mailer arrived in good condition, but the only thing inside was the packing slip which was bent in the shape of a card (that was inside). This is the way I pack my cards. There were no rips or tears in the mailer, although it is possible for someone to open it in the usual way and then stick the top back (I didn't put any tape over the opening).

Has this happened to anyone? If so, is there any chance that Canada Post will do something about it? I didn't buy insurance on the item as it wasn't that pricey of a card.

I would report it to Canada post, to have most of it arrive in goodcondition and have the paper that was inside still there afterthe card being wrapped in it? kind of hard to buy it falling out and not taking the paper with it.

I don't know if they'd do anything though, probably not, cheap bunch that they are.

I've had a card come in a white envelope and the envelope was open. Card was still there thankfully, but itwas wide open, looked likethe glue failed.

I know it's too late for this time, but, taping the bubble mailer is something I always do, don't trust the glue on them one bit.
Plus I like tape :) anyone I've traded with will tell you that, just read my feedback ;)

Hopefully it works out for ya.

I figure that someone in the post office, or the mail carrier, must have known the buyer was a card collector. Or at least recognized that there aren't many things that are sent in bubble mailers other than cards or photos. I should probably mark all bubble mailers with "photos - do not bend" in addition to taping them!

Yep - has started happening about 2 months ago.
Twice in 2 weeks to me!!!!

I have started requesting that traders use SEALING tape (not scotch tape) on the padded envelopes!!!!! Some of the cheaper padded mailers - the flap can be opened with no tearing and then pressed down again right away!!!

BEWARE!!!

If it has happened twice to the same person in two deals with different people, then at least you know the problem is most likely the addressee's local post office. I would make sure to file a formal complaint with that post office so that at least someone is aware of the problem besides the person stealing the cards.

Happened to me just last week. I opened the bubble mailer and nothing...it was taped shut...not much I could do about it. Can't directly blame Canada Post or the Seller as I wasn't 100% sure what happened. I contacted the seller and he didn't blink an eye. He quickly refunded without any questions asked like its happened to him in the past...

well in my case, as the seller, I can't see not giving a refund. It's not as if my package was damaged so I can't blame the buyer for not getting insurance against "theft". I think I'll have to **** it up this time, but it really blows thinking a punk at Canada Post is doing this.

It happened to me from a package coming from Canada from Bal--funny thing is they took only the decent cards and sent the rest on.

Someone in Canada is making a hauling and has a very nice collection

Wow,
that ridiculous.
I'd threaten lawsuit for that.
To have half the cards show up from a beyond trusted person is ridiculous.

INteresting turn of events - the buyer has just left me positive feedback for the transaction. He seems like a trustworthy guy, with 100% positive feedback. Is he just leaving it because he trusts me to give him a refund (I haven't done so yet).
